Bandai Doraemon - My Communication Robot
Check out this cool robot from Bandai. It is a Communication Robot in a form of famous Japanese cartoon character "Doraemon". It looks like a normal robot but FYI, there are temperature sensors mounted on 7 different parts of the body, enabling it to react to sound, light and temperature. It can talk about 1300 words spoken with animated voice of famous Japanese TV actress Wasabi Mizuta. Not only that, the Bandai Doraemon is able to hold a decent yet simple conversation with its owner, expressing its emotions through the built-in LCD display.

iLASIK - What Is It All about? Can You Afford it?
LASIK, an acronym for Laser-assisted In Situ Keratomileusis, is a form of refractive laser eye surgery procedure performed by ophthalmologists intended for correcting vision. The procedure is usually a preferred alternative to photorefractive keratectomy, PRK, as it requires less time for full recovery, and the patient experiences less pain overall.
In custom LASIK, wavefront technology is used to measure and map every nuance of the patient's eye. This sort of technology isn't present in traditional LASIK. Typically, custom LASIK patients have a very high success rate. Armed with the corneal mapping, the surgeon can sculpt the patient's cornea to make light refract off of the retina with accuracy. This results in a highly customized procedure that effectively restores the patient's eyesight, and can be used to correct vision defects that traditional LASIK can't fix.
I know that cost is always a factor, and should be thoroughly looked into before you begin any Lasik procedure but have you evaluated the lifetime costs on glasses and contact lens? The price of custom LASIK can be higher than that of its traditional counterpart. While regular LASIK procedures cost, on average, $1,000 per eye, custom wavefront procedures can be as high as $2,500 per eye. The highly individualized results have convinced many patients that it's worth the price. FYI, your iLASIK surgeon can help you with financing, and many times the payments can be as low as $89 a month.
Many would like to know if they are good Lasik candidate and this depends on many aspects. A candidate must pass the basic criteria in order to qualify for the procedure. Check out below:
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Generally of good health
- Has had a stable vision prescription for at least one year.
- Has no existing eye disease.
Always talk to your doctor if you have questions or concerns about any LASIK procedure. You know what, Lasik has transformed the way millions of people have looked at the world for many years now. If you are considering LASIK, make sure you do your homework and find out as much as you can about the procedure before going ahead.

Hologram Phone - Trou!
Check out this "Trou Hologram Mobile Phone" concept by Mac Funamizu. It is a wrist-worn cellphone as shown in the picture above. Because of its frame area is flexible enough to let your wrist go through the hole, you can wear it around your wrist. Small projectors will line within the inner surface of the hollow segment in order to bring the most lifelike possible images right in front of you. The phone shall work in a way that when a call is established, the one on the other side of the phone shall be projected as an 3D object – a Hologram on the wrist of the user.
