While not the first camera to feature a touch screen to navigate the menus, the S60 does have a few tricks up its sleeve with regards to its touch-based interface. This 10 megapixel camera not only allows you to operate the zoom controls via virtual buttons but it even allows you to use your finger to select where your subject is in the frame so the camera can focus on it. For example, if you have two people standing at different distances from each other, you can just tap on your intended subject on the LCD screen to have the camera focus on it. The camera also features Nikon's new Scene Auto Selector mode which will analyse the scene and automatically switch between Scene modes to suit the situation. Other notable features are a 5x zoom lens equivalent to a 33-165mm lens, ISO settings from 64-2000, 3.5in LCD screen and a HDMI connector for video and photo output to HDTVs.
