Nikon Coolpix S60
While not the first camera to feature a touch screen to navigate the menus, the S60 does have a few tricks up its sleeve with regards to its touch-based interface. This 10 megapixel camera not only allows you to operate the zoom controls via virtual buttons but it even allows you to use your finger to select where your subject is in the frame so the camera can focus on it. For example, if you have two people standing at different distances from each other, you can just tap on your intended subject on the LCD screen to have the camera focus on it. The camera also features Nikon's new Scene Auto Selector mode which will analyse the scene and automatically switch between Scene modes to suit the situation. Other notable features are a 5x zoom lens equivalent to a 33-165mm lens, ISO settings from 64-2000, 3.5in LCD screen and a HDMI connector for video and photo output to HDTVs.

Capture Any Web Video Automatically
Youtube is one of the biggest video sharing websites in the world. Since February 2005, when Youtube was created, more than eighty million users have logged in daily to watch their favorite videos, share or upload video clips. Youtube is nowadays the “go to” web site if you want to have fun watching stand up comedy, see the shows you have missed on TV and much more.
Users who are not registered on Youtube can only watch videos, while the registered users can upload as many videos as they want. However, all the movie clips, music videos, TV clips or original videos uploaded by users that you find on Youtube cannot be downloaded from this web site. This is unfortunate for many of the users because Youtube is the one place where you can find almost any video you want. The problem is you can only watch it on Youtube. It would be a lot nicer if people could download video from Youtube, because they would be able to watch it over and over again without needing an Internet connection.
Actually, it is very easy to download videos from Youtube. All you have to do is use a Downloader for Web Video & TV. RipTiger is an online video downloader that saves video to your computer as soon as you start watching. RipTiger captures web video automatically and downloads it while you continue surfing the web. All downloads are saved to your download folder so you can change file names, convert web video to other formats and enjoy your video. No other software can download as many formats as RipTiger does!
RipTiger is the easiest and the most powerful way to capture any web video and TV. Just start RipTiger, play your video or web TV as usual and RipTiger saves it automatically. No additional click or configuration hassle. RipTiger does everything automatically in the background for you. If you want to give it a try. check out their Product web-site. There are many times when you do not have Internet access for various reasons. This prevents you from watching Youtube videos. This is again unfortunate for you. . For all these situations there is a solution. RipTiger gives you the opportunity to watch your favorite videos whenever you like.

T-Mobile G1 - The First Phone To Run Google's New Android Mobile Operating System
T-Mobile announced the world's first Android-powered phone yesterday -September 23. The phone is the first to use the Google Android operating system and I think it is the first real competitor to the iPhone. The G1 complements its touch screen with a physical keyboard, the lack of which has made the iPhone a non-starter for some users. The G1's keyboard is revealed when you slide open its screen. The keys are a bit flat, and you have to reach your right thumb around a bulging portion of the phone's body to type, but it’s a real keyboard. It has a lot to prove and has lots of cool features. To view some of the cool features check out video below. It will be sold in the U.S. starting next month by T-Mobile, for $179 with a two-year contract. So what do you think? Will it kill the iPhone?

Store Any Secret Information In Binary Code Right On Your Finger?
What?? Store any secret information in binary code right on your finger? This is not a ring from a Lord Of The Ring movie. You should check out this Encoder Ring. This unique ring can hold up to 64 characters, so you can get at least a fairly decent sized message. The user would choose a secret message 64 characters long, have the message translated into binary code and finally have a ring produced using rapid-prototyping. I think this is good if you want to hide your secret information. Anyway, It’s still a concept right now.

The Pulse Smartpen - Pen With Digital Capabilities
This electronic pen called the Pulse Smartpen from Livescribe is a ballpoint pen that you use to write notes during your classes, lectures, meetings, etc. As you write, the pen will record your strokes along with audio. When you are done with a note taking session, you can go back to your handwritten notes and tap on a word that you wrote to hear what was being said as you were writing that word. You can also upload your note taking sessions to your computer for archival and searching purposes. The Pulse smartpen has a high speed infrared camera with a Dot Positioning System (DPS); rechargeable lithium battery; high contrast display for easy indoor or outdoor viewing; dual microphones for recording and noise cancellation; an embedded speaker and an audio jack. When used with the bundled Dot Paper Notebook, the nearly invisible micro dots printed on notebook pages tell the Pulse exactly where a user is writing or tapping. Users can also customise the Pulse with additional applications , ranging from productivity tools to games. I think students will absolutely love this gadget.Check out video below.

Locked And Unlocked Your Door Via Internet
What if locking the front door of your house while you're away were as easy as hopping on the internet? Recently at the CEDIA Expo in Denver, Ingersoll Rand's Schlage unit showed off door locks that can be wirelessly set via the internet, from a mobile phone or a computer. The battery operated locks have keypad that are locked and unlocked with four digit access codes. Users who forget to lock a door and want to enter their code remotely can hop onto a web portal or an application added to their mobile phones. These password protected portals also let people change, activate or disable the codes. The system which Schlage bills as the first of its kind will be available in the United States in late October. Kit for the lock, which includes the lock and the wireless bridge to communicate with it will set you back $299. There's a $13 monthly fee to use the applications that let the locks be controlled remotely.

Remove Empty Directories
Empty folders or directories exist for a number of reasons. Sometimes applications create and require empty folders and deleting them can cause your programs not to function as they should. Usually though, empty folders are a results of sloppy uninstallation programs that fail to clean up all traces of programs. The result can be hundreds of empty folders. While these won't harm your computer, they could slow it down since at various times Windows must read into memory the folders that you have on your computer. Getting rid of unneeded ones can only help.
Most empty folder removal tools are command line only and therefore not so easy to use, but German programmer Jonas John has created a Windows based tool called Remove Empty Directories which is free for use. The program is easy to use. You select a folder or drive to scan, click Scan Folders and the program goes to work. An Options Panel lets you specify certain folders that should not be flagged as empty.

Giant Spider Brings Liverpool To Standstill
A giant robot spider hangs on the side of a run down building in Liverpool city centre recently. La Princesse, as the spider is known, is a giant artwork by French company La Machine. The 50ft tall spider commissioned by Artichoke, the creative company behind The Telectroscope, to bring La Princess to Liverpool as one of the highlights of the Capital of Culture 2008 celebration. Totally freaky and cool.

French USB Train Tickets
The French are doing something interesting with USB and trains. France's national train service (SNCF) is offering 1,000 USB TRAIN TICKETS in a trial. By plugging the card into a PC USB port, the users' computers are automatically connected to the SNCF web site, where they can make payments and get schedules. Schedules can be downloaded to the card. The cards work like a debit card - passengers buy some amount then the fare is deducted each time they ride. The device can store information on one chip with up to 4 Gigabytes of memory. Data on the card will include the cardholder's name and personalized information—whether that person is a student or senior citizen, for instance, or the amount of money the cardholder has available for purchases or transit tickets—along with other data, such as transit schedules that can be downloaded from the Internet. A second chip, for the RFID function, operates independently of the USB-stored data, and holds a unique ID number that is transmitted at the transit station when a passenger passes through a turnstile. Thus, the cost of the ticket is automatically deducted from the user's prepaid balance. If it is successful, they fully intend to implement it to all customers by 2010.
